Class Descriptions
6:20-6:50 Crash Course - Free
Not sure what blues dancing is, why not try this free 30-minute crash course? We will introduce you to blues dancing, and if you’re keen for more, you will be able to jump into our Level 1 class.

7:00-8:00 Fundamentals of Blues Dance - Level 1
In this class we will help you develop your vocabulary of blues dance moves. You will become familiar with the two main branches of blues dance idioms Jukin’ and Ballroomin’, as you progress week to week.

8:05-9:05 Exploring the Blues - Open class
Each week in this class we will focus on a specific blues dance idiom, its movement aesthetic and the music which inspired it. You will develop your individual styling while exploring and expanding on previously learnt content.

Absolute Beginner Classes

Each month at our dance social, The Juke Joint, we start the night off with an absolute beginners class. This class will give you a toolbox of moves that will have you dancing the night away to the live band. This class is included in the entry for the Juke Joint.
